•      About IIID Awards :

 

IIID: Institute of Indian Interior Designers initiated the Awards Programme for Excellence in Interior Design in India in 1996. Since 2011, IIID has collaborated with ANCHOR by PANASONIC and the Awards have now become popular as IIID ANCHOR AWARDS.

 

Each year, new categories are also added to the Awards program to reflect the changing trends and specializations in the Interior Design Industry. Through all the iterations, the basic objectives behind the Awards programme continue :

 

o   To recognize & award excellence in interior design in India

o   To acknowledge & honour finest efforts in interior design in India

o  To provide a common platform to showcase & share design solutions in response to changing social needs

o   To establish benchmarks in Interior Design

o   To provide cues to the entire design fraternity through those benchmarks

o   To create opportunities for introspection

 

Designers across India participate – in large numbers – every year as the IIID AWARDS provide unique opportunity to showcase & compete their designs alongside the best in the region & the country. The pride to possess the most coveted Award for Excellence in Interior Design as well as Great professional & personal boost for upcoming designers continue to attract great talent from across the country to the IIID Awards every year.

The Jury panel consists of renowned senior architects & designers, young designers who themselves have won IIID awards, Academicians and design media professionals.

 


 

•        Rules & Regulations :

 

1.   The Competition is open to all design firms / individuals, including IIID members and non-members, proprietary concerns, partnership firms, private or public limited companies, located in India. However, the Awards Committee Members and others directly associated with the Awards will not be eligible to participate in the competition.

 

2.   All entries will be submitted ONLINE only, through www.iiidawards.net.in or www.iiidanchorawards.net.in. Offline submission through hard copies, etc. will not be accepted.

 

3.  The Regional Awards – under each category (1 to 14) – will comprise of a Trophy & Certificate for the Winning entry and Trophy & Certificate for the Runner-up entry, each selected by a panel of jury comprising of eminent architects, designers, artists & design magazine editors, etc. Additionally, the jury may – at its discretion – award a “Certificate of Commendation” for any deserving entry.

 

4.    Selectively short listed entries by the jury – including the winner & runner-up entries – from categories 1 to 14 of Regional Rounds will qualify for National Round of Awards. Categories 15 to 18 are reserved only for National Level. National Awards will comprise of a Trophy & Certificate for the Winning entry and Trophy & Certificate for the Runner-up entry, each selected by a panel of jury comprising of eminent architects, designers, artists & design magazine editors, etc. Additionally, the jury may – at its discretion – award a “Certificate of Commendation” for any deserving entry.

 

5.  All entries will be for COMPLETED Interior Design projects only, without reference to architectural / civil envelope for the spaces.

 

6.    All entries will be for Interior Design projects completed during the period : 1st January, 2012 to 31st December, 2013, i.e. within the last 2 years, 2012-13.

 

7.  All entries will be for Interior Design projects executed in India, except Category – 17 : Global Indian Practice of the Year.

 

8.  A participant can submit entries ONLY under the REGION in which the project is located, without any reference to the location his/her office / design practice.

 

9.   A participant can submit multiple numbers of entries within a single category or multiple numbers of entries under different categories. Each such entry will be submitted ONLINE with separate Registration Form, separate Registration Charges & separate unique 6-digit ID.

 

10.  A participant can re-submit an entry that may have been previously submitted in any of the previous IIID Awards, provided that the entry has not won any award / trophy / certificate of commendation under any category in previous IIID awards. Such re-submission will also be subject to the project completion date criteria, as per Rule-6 above.

 

11.  Projects submitted under category – 13 : “Innovation : Affordable Interiors” may also be additionally submitted under any other relevant category.

 

12.  The participant competing under category – 14  : “Young Designer of the Year” will not be more than 30 years of age AND will not have more than 5 years’ experience after graduation from an IIID recognized design institute. Projects submitted under this category may also be additionally submitted under any other relevant category.

 

13. All Trophies & Certificates will be issued ONLY in the name of Design Practice / Firm, except for individuals practicing under their own name.

 

14.  Upon signing the Registration Form, the participant (Principal Designer registering & signing the form) is bound by these Awards Regulations to PERSONALLY attend the Regional or National Awards Nite to collect the Trophy & Certificate (if awarded) and not through proxies. The Organizers reserve the Right to Forfeit the Trophy & Certificate in case of failure on part of the winner / runner-up to attend the functions in person.

 

15.  IIID will make all necessary arrangements – through the sponsors ANCHOR By Panasonic – for travel & accommodation for the Award Winners / runner-up / Certificate of Commendation awardees (Only for the Principal Designer registering & signing the form) to the Regional or National Awards nite.

 

16. Each entry will be submitted along with applicable Registration Charges (non-refundable) either by ONLINE Payment (Immediate) or by OFFLINE Payment by Demand Draft / cheque, payable at Mumbai in favour of “IIID ANCHOR AWARDS” within 7 days of registering the entry on the website. For OFFLINE Payments, date of receipt of payment at IIID Office (and not date of SENDING the payment) will be considered for validity of entry & registration charges, so participants are requested to send the payment much before the scheduled date.

 

a.  Early bird : for entries received before 15th December, 2013

For non-member :         Rs. 3,371

 

b.  For entries received after 15th December, 2013

 

For IIID members :        Rs. 1,685

For non-member :         Rs. 4,494

 

(Registration Charges include service tax @ 12.36%)

(Once the entry is submitted / uploaded, the same cannot be cancelled and the Registration Charges, if paid, will not be refunded).


 

Submission Requirements :

 

  

1. All entries will be submitted ONLINE only, through www.iiidawards.net.in or www.iiidanchorawards.net.in. Offline submission through hard copies, etc. will not be accepted.

 

2.   A participant can submit multiple numbers of entries within a single category or multiple numbers of entries under different categories. Each such entry will be submitted ONLINE with separate Registration Form, separate Registration Charges & separate unique 6-digit ID.

 

3.   Upon login to the website, the participant will be required to fill up the Registration form, completely, with all details. See the SAMPLE of Registration Form and keep the relevant details ready, before proceeding to Online Registration.

 

4.  Upon successful registration, a system generated unique ID will be issued. This unique ID should be used for all future communications.

 

5.   Once submitted with due confirmation, NO DETAILS on the registration form will be allowed to be changed.

 

6.  Upon successful registration, participant will be required to upload the submission within 24 hours of the Registration. After this time limit, participant will not be able to upload the entry through allotted UNIQUE ID and will need to RE-register.

 

7.  The participant can upload upto a maximum of 15 files (2 mb each), after successful registration and Unique ID generation as follows :

 

• Minimum 6 & Maximum 10 nos. Photographs in JPEG format.

  Please do not submit any architectural photographs of the exteriors. Participants are encouraged to submit photographs of site conditions / interior shell, prior to commencement of interiors.

   Minimum 2 & Maximum 4 nos. layout plans, drawings, sketches, concept, etc. in PDF format. (may be composed into a panel)

      For entries submitted under any Category with restriction of Carpet Area (2 & 5), participant will be required to include details of the carpet area on any of the layout plans.

     For entries submitted under Category 13 : Innovation – Affordable Interiors, participants will be required to include details of costing in any of the text panels / PDFs.

   Minimum 1 & maximum 2 files including Designer / Design practice / firm profile, Principal Designer’s photograph & project specific details in PDF format.

     Each file should not exceed 2 MB and the total upload of 15 files should not exceed 30MB.

 

8.      For Category 14 : “Young Interior Designer of the Year”, total 3 projects (not more, not less) will need to be submitted, each under separate project upload, as guided by the system. Please note that the entry (comprising of 3 projects) will be treated as ONE entry and not as 3 separate ones.

9.   Once submitted with due confirmation, NO FILES will be allowed to be added, deleted or edited.

 

10. After successful UPLOAD of files, participant will need to make payment towards Registration charges either in ONLINE mode or OFFLINE Mode.

 

11.For OFFLINE mode of payments, entry will be considered valid, ONLY AFTER Registration Charges are received in FULL within one week of Registration and Upload of submission and as per time limits specified under item-16 of Rules & Regulations.

 

12.  Participant shall not mention his / her name, firm’s name or the project name ANYWHERE on the photographs or drawings. The Participant will also not try to communicate or in any way influence any of the Jury Members. The entry will be disqualified, in case of failure to adhere to this regulation.

 

 


 

Disclaimer :

 

 

a.   Entries received after the last date / time of submission OR without the applicable Registration Charges (non-refundable) OR with missing / incomplete Registration Form OR incomplete / insufficient submission material will be rejected.

 

b.  While all possible care will be taken for trouble-free web-based registration process, online payment & Upload of submission material, IIID and the organizers shall not be responsible for any damage or loss to data or system failure arising out of technical problems, preventing participants from submitting their entries. (Once the entry is submitted / uploaded, the same cannot be cancelled and the Registration Charges, if paid, will not be refunded).

 

c.   The Organizers & the Jury reserve the Right to transfer the submitted entries to other appropriate category.

 

d.  The decision of the Jury with regards to the selection of winners, runner-up & other short listings shall be final and binding to all participants and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

 

e.  The organizers and the Jury reserve the Right to withhold giving any award – under any category – if the entries received do not meet the required standards of selection criteria.

 

f.   All material submitted by the participants for the competition shall become the property of IIID and be deemed to have requisite publication rights. IIID reserves the Right to use the material for publication / documentation / publicity purpose without any further notification to or clearance from the concerned participants.

 

g.  It is assumed that all information given by the participant is factual. If found otherwise, the entry shall be disqualified immediately and any Awards / Certificates, if issued, will be forfeited.

 

h.   Upon signing the Registration Form & submitting the entry, the participant certifies that the project has been entirely designed by him/her and have the rights to share all the information about the project and not restricted under any Non-disclosure Clause with the clients or otherwise and that the project has not won any IIID award in the past, under any category.
